Shafaqna English- UEFA has strongly criticized FIFA’s decision to overturn the red-card suspension of U.S. forward Folarin Balogun in the World Cup, following a phone call from President Donald Trump urging a review. The European governing body stated that football’s world federation had “crossed a red line” and compromised the sport’s integrity.
“We are shocked by such an unprecedented, inexplicable, and indefensible decision,” UEFA said in a statement issued on Monday(6 Jul 2026).
