Shafaqna English- Substitute Mikel Merino once again scored a last-gasp winner for Spain, capitalising on a fumble by Belgium’s goalkeeper. The 2–1 win over their depleted opponents booked Spain a place in the last four, where France lie in wait.
The sides were locked at 1–1 at half-time, but Spain eventually prevailed when Belgian backup Lammens – who had replaced the injured Thibaut Courtois in the second half – spilled Pau Cubarsi’s low drive.
