Shafaqna English- Scientists have developed a revolutionary cancer treatment using two naturally occurring bacteria that can destroy tumours without relying on the immune system. This breakthrough offers new hope for patients with weakened immunity who don’t respond to conventional immunotherapies.
The therapy combines Proteus mirabilis and Rhodopseudomonas palustris bacteria, which work in perfect harmony to target cancer cells. Once inside tumours, the bacteria undergo a remarkable transformation – reorganizing themselves and attacking cancer blood vessels while avoiding dangerous side effects common with other treatments.
This “immune-independent” approach represents a major advancement in the 150-year quest to use bacteria against cancer. Researchers plan to begin human trials within six years, potentially opening a new chapter in cancer treatment for immunocompromised patients.
