Shafaqna English- According to a report by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), over 10.7 million women and girls in Afghanistan need humanitarian assistance this year.
The report also highlights that Afghanistan’s healthcare system is under tremendous strain and that the country continues to have the highest maternal mortality rate in the world.
